New Realm

The New Realm Series painings by Lafayette, Louisiana based artist artist Amy Guidry. The series explores strength of character and independence. Using a surreal backdrop, this modern tale presents the heroine as a strong and courageous woman. The viewer is invited to follow along as the story unfolds.

Amy Guidry grew up in Slidell, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. She attended Loyola University of New Orleans where she received her Bachelors degree in Visual Arts in 1998. She was also awarded the Loyola University Art Scholarship, which is only awarded to one student per graduating class.
