Surreal Paintings by Moki

Moki is a Hamburg, Germany based artist who works on acrylic paintings of people, animals or imaginary creatures that seem to be surreal, asleep and dreaming in melancholy, lonesome landscapes.

Graduated from the Hamburg College of Fine Arts, and inspired by the Finnish-Swedish artist Tove Jansson’s Moomins and the Japanese manga artist Hayao Miyazaki, Moki developed her passion in comics with her enigmatic pictorial narratives, she is now an established presence in the Hamburg comic scene.
